Bridger-Teton National Forest (Jackson, Wyoming)
Day 2 - Saturday
We got up early and enjoyed a well rounded breakfast at the Hampton Inn in Salt Lake City. We loaded up and headed out. We stopped at a rest area/overlook at Bear Lake, a huge lake on the Idaho/Utah border. For lunch we stopped in Montpelier, Idaho at a rundown Subway and continued on.
There was road construction in Idaho where we had a long wait, and got out of the car to explore a bit. We found out that Scott Gleiser likes to eat grass, “the legal stuff,” and that it taste like asparagus. We arrived at our destination for Arrowcorps5 at Jackson High School in Jackson, Wyoming. The other half of the contingent coming from Cody, Wyoming after touring Yellowstone met up with us at Jackson High school to complete the whole contingent.
The adults took the rental cars back to Jackson Airport where they enjoyed a delightful meal at Bubba’s Barbeque while the youth ate steak and potatoes at Jackson High school. While Rob was taking the rental cars back, Branson confessed that he needed Rob around to hold his hand. All in all it was a good day and our spirits are still high.
