Bridger-Teton National Forest (Jackson, Wyoming)

Day 4 - Tuesday

It was another 5:30am wake up call (actually a hand-held air horn) for some of our contingent. About half of us left on buses at 6:30am for the
45-minute trip up the mountain to face another long but satisfying day of work on the trails. It was recreation day for the other half of the contingent.

That consisted of white water rafting and hiking. Some people hopped the free Jackson city buses and headed into town to eat or shop at the many stores. Rob, Branson, and Tyler got a rental car and headed to the top of Teton pass to look around.  Seeing a hobo on the side of the road Robert Mason, they picked him up and headed to Teton Village for lunch.

After that the four of them headed to Bridger Teton National Park.  They did a 9 mile hike up Paintbrush Canyon, they saw some sweet waterfalls as well as wildlife, Branson was almost run over by a Moose.  After the awesome hike the four headed to Yellowstone to see Old Faithful, and the Old Faithful Inn.  They rolled in late and missed dinner.

The rest back at Jackson High School, had dinner which consisted of pork loin, vegetables, salad, pudding, and drinks.  All in all, it was a good day. Most of us again called it an early night.
