Bridger-Teton National Forest (Jackson, Wyoming)

Day 7 - Thursday

It was back to trail work Thursday after our contingent got to enjoy a recreation day; either Tuesday or Wednesday. Once again, the air horn sounded at 5:30am on another chilly Wyoming morning.  Overnight low temperatures this week have been around 40-degrees. It has made for good sleeping. Once again, our crews headed out on school buses at 6:30 am. We finished up work on the new Arrow trail, named in recognition of the Order of the Arrow’s time and service commitment. Other members of our contingent continued working on what’s called the History and Ridge trails. Dinner consisted of jambalaya, corn, macaroni and cheese, salad, apple pie, and drinks.

Several members of our group decided to jump the free bus and head into downtown Jackson for dinner. Its hard to believe how fast the week has gone but everyone has such a good feeling about what we’ve accomplished and the service we have been able to provide.
