Old North State Council Camporee 2011

The next Council Camporee will be held in Denton, April 29 – May 1, 2011.  As you can image, Tsoiotsi Tsogalii plays an integral part in supporting the council camporee to make it a huge success.  We are expecting more than 3000 cub and boy scouts to participate in a fun-filled weekend, and we need your help to support this effort.  Lodge 70 is looking for people to support the following committees of the camporee.  Contact information is enclosed for each committee, so please feel free to reach out to the committee adviser if you would like to help.

You will earn a Special OA Service Corp Patch for serving on one of these committees at the camporee.  ------->

Any brother what would like to serve on the OA Service Corps at the Camporee may earn the Service Corps Patch by working 4 hours. Please contact one of the advisors for the group you would like to serve.

Indian Village
The Indian Village is one of the program areas for the camporee.   Native American activities are demonstrated such as Dancing, Drumming, and Regalia Making.  In addition, this area normally has Dutch Oven Cooking and other cooking demonstrations.

Building Security
The Denton Farm Park contains many unique buildings and fixtures that people can walk through and look at.  In addition, there are many antique farm vehicles on the property.  The build security team is responsible to secure these facilities and ensure that no participants are climbing on equipment that may cause injury.

Midway Support

The midway area is very similar to the OA Experience at Conclave each year.  It encompasses all types of vendors and organizations that come out and discuss their organization with the participants.  In addition, the program areas will have all types of activities for cub and boy scouts.  The Midway Support Committee will support various needs of the midway and program areas.

Chaos Crew
As with any event hosted by the Council, the chaos crew is an integral part of make sure everything during the event happens.  The chaos crew is dispatched to handle all types of situations during the event.
