To help new members understand The Order of the Arrow and its principles, we have gathered useful information into this one location. The first question that's probably on your mind is, now what? Here are some things you as a new member can do right off the bat to get involved in this great Order of ours:
1. Jump StartJumpstart is a really cool website developed for new members of the Order of the Arrow! Therefore, be sure to check it out. Here you can catch a glimpse of the OA’s rich history, discover more about your Ordeal experience, and learn how to seal your membership in the Order by taking the next step: Brotherhood membership.
2. New Member Guide
Our lodge has also put together a New Member Orientation Booklet that is designed to help new members remind them what they learned at their Ordeal and to help them along their way to Brottherhood. (This booklet is password protected. You should have recieved the password information during your Ordeal weekend. It is the fifth word of the title on page 10 of your OA Handbook. (Use all lower case letters, no spaces, no quotes, no punctuation)
3. Attend a Chapter MeetingChapters are small sub-sets of the lodge. They are organized along District lines. Chapters meet monthly. They have a program with Opening Ceremonies, Announcements, Indian Crafts, Ceremony Team practice, and most provide refreshments. It's a great way to meet Arrowmen.
